Dr. Elmar Mammadov

Dr. Elmar Mammadov, BSc, MSc, M.D.

Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Mammadov served as a postdoctoral fellow in the Zanos lab, collaborating with Dr. Zanos to establish most of the lab’s behavioral pharmacology techniques and ex vivo electrophysiology recording rigs.

His research focused on comprehending the precise neurobiological mechanisms behind the actions of ketamine and its metabolites. Specifically, he investigated their efficacy to reverse maladaptive behavioral responses and prevent relapse during prolonged drug abstinence, employing rodent models. 

Currently, he is pursuing an additional Master’s program in Computer Science at the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
