Ms. Athina Yiannapi

Athina Yiannapi

Research Assistant

Athina is a member of our team dedicated to understand the psychological aspects of ketamine’s efficacy in patients suffering with Opioid Use Disorders. Currently, she supports our research on clinical effects of ketamine to extend opioid abstinence in patients. She analyzes psychophysiological markers that could predict ketamine’s efficacy in preventing relapse to opioids following abstinence.

Simultaneously, Athina is actively engaged in interdisciplinary research that examines the interaction between vulnerability factors and stress biomarkers measured in the blood in this patient population. Her work will contribute to predicting opioid relapse vulnerability and understanding the link between emotion regulation deficits and successful opioid abstinence.
