
Ph.D. student
Sotiris is a biologist and neuroscientist who recently joined our research team as a Ph.D. student. He holds a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences from Lancaster University and an M.Sc. in Neurobiology from Radboud University. He has experience in programming (Python, R, MATLAB) and in large-scale data analysis and integration across computational, clinical, and neuroimaging datasets, alongside strong laboratory experience, animal handling and experimental design. In the Zanos lab, in collaboration with Dr. Promponas lab at the Department of Biological Sciences of the University of Cyprus, he will identify novel mechanisms underlying relapse to opioid use after abstinence to develop new medications for the treatment of opioid-use disorders.
